Chengdu Panda Base tickets for foreigners

All visitors need a real-name reservation (seniors 60+ and young children excepted). The Base’s English ticket page links to Trip.com as an authorized channel — English UI, foreign cards, passport at checkout. Verified 6 Oct 2026.

Booking steps

  1. Open the Trip.com listing linked from panda.org.cn/en/service/ticket — or go directly to chengdu-research-base…76342.
  2. Book Adult (or Student). Read the notice bar for Monday area closures and refund rules.
  3. Pick date of use + Morning or Afternoon session → Next.
  4. Add each traveler’s passport (one ticket per passport per date). Contact email receives the voucher.
  5. Pay. Unused tickets: refund via the original channel within 30 days from 17:00 on the visit date (rule stated on the official page / checkout notices).
  6. Arrive in your session with the original passport; use the lane for visitors with original ID documents.

Pitfalls: Booking Dujiangyan Panda Valley by mistake (separate ticket); afternoon ticket holders lining up at 07:30; one passport buying multiple same-day tickets; skipping the morning session in summer heat when pandas go indoors.

Is Trip.com official for the Panda Base?

Yes. The Base’s official English ticket page lists Trip.com among authorized platforms and links the attraction page; tickets there are marked “Official partner”.

How much?

Adult CNY 55; student CNY 27. Seniors 60+ and children 6 and under or under 1.3 m are free and (per the official site) do not need a reservation — just original ID at the gate.

Morning or afternoon?

March–October: morning entry 07:30–12:00, afternoon 12:00–17:00. Afternoon tickets cannot enter early. Book morning if you want active pandas.

How far ahead?

Online up to 14 days ahead until the daily quota (cap 85,000) sells out.
