Each attraction page also shows its own “Last checked” date. See How we verify for how we check.
- New name and address: the guide is now Simple China Trip at simplechinatrip.com, with a new panda logo. Old links to the previous address keep working and forward to the same page.
- Stuck while booking? Every attraction guide now has a WhatsApp button to message Xiaocong, a local in China (replies 9:00–24:00 Beijing time). It is also on the home page and in the footer.
- Booking-path corrections after a third check of our sources: Sanxingdui Museum now points to the museum’s official WeChat for plain admission (about CNY 72), Xi’an City Wall to its official mini-program (foreign visitors can also use the gate ticket windows), and Dazu Rock Carvings to the staffed ticket window with your passport.
- Lingyin Temple: on-site registration ended on 1 Feb 2026, so the backup is now the online waitlist (by 20:00 the day before). National Museum of China: added the limit of 1 booking per account per week. Forbidden City: the same-day window is now described as an unreliable last resort.
- Release times confirmed for Shaanxi History Museum (17:00 Beijing time, 5 days ahead) and Nanjing Museum (18:00, 7 days ahead), both with a release-time calculator. Where sources disagree (Badaling, Xi’an City Wall, Dazu, Tiananmen Square) the pages now say so. Official 2026 prices added for the Potala Palace and Jade Dragon Snow Mountain.
- Add the ticket release to your calendar: Forbidden City, National Museum of China and Mutianyu pages now create a calendar event (Apple, Outlook, Android or Google Calendar) with two alerts and the official booking link.
- Feedback buttons on every attraction guide: tell us whether the recommended booking path worked for you.
- Ticket-release reminders (beta) for the Forbidden City, National Museum of China and Mutianyu Great Wall.
- New privacy page explaining our cookie-free analytics and what reminder signups store.
- Mobile fixes: pages now load their styles inline, so the layout holds even on slow or filtered connections and in older in-app browsers.
- One recommended booking path per attraction across 15 cities and 81 guides, each with a “Last checked” date.
- New “How we verify” page describing our sources and checks.
- Live booking-flow screenshots for 17 attractions (captured 5–6 Oct 2026).
- Forbidden City booking flow captured step by step on the official site.
