Xiamen booking for foreigners (Gulangyu ferry)

Coastal Fujian city — the hard booking is the Gulangyu ferry. Xiamen Ferry company says the only authorized online channel is mini-program 屿见厦门 (WeChat/Alipay). Other platforms are 非官方授权. Island attractions are separate tickets (not verified this pass).

Why visitors come

  • Gulangyu (鼓浪屿 / Kulangsu) — UNESCO pedestrian island; ferry is required
  • Official online ferry: mini-program 屿见厦门 only (company FAQ)
  • Foreign documents: FAQ path 其他证件 + passport / permit number
  • Trip.com ferry+transfer SKU exists but is unauthorized — not the pier ticket

Know before you book

City-wide rules for foreigners

Ferry primary: WeChat or Alipay mini-program 屿见厦门. Company FAQ: tickets on other platforms are 非官方授权; the company will not handle those disputes.
Passport path on FAQ: real-name Alipay → add passenger → 其他证件 → passport/permit number. Live mini-program passport dropdown = Check (not filmed).
Trip.com product 109794338 (ferry + car transfer) showed Passport ID but is reseller/unauthorized — do not treat as official pier ticket.
