Reservation steps
- Use only authorised channels: jnt.mfu.com.cn (Chinese web UI, no WeChat required if the account flow works), People’s Daily Memorial Hall portal, or the official WeChat booking flow.
- At 12:30 Beijing time, grab a slot for a visit date 1–6 days ahead (not today).
- ID type: passport. If SMS demands +86, ask the hotel — same pattern as Tiananmen / SMS guide.
- Morning visit only (typical 08:00–12:00 Tue–Sun). Dress respectfully; no lingering; silence phones.
- Before entry: deposit bags/cameras/power banks at the east-side square facility — timed recovery after exit.

- Hall sits on the square complex — many visitors combine with a Tiananmen Square reservation (separate free booking, different release clock).
- Book both early; do not assume one voucher covers the other.
- No-shows: 2 within 120 days can lock the hall account for 120 days — cancel if plans change.

Yes — free timed reservation only through official channels. Ignore paid “helpers.”
When do slots release?
Daily at 12:30 Beijing time, for visits 1–6 days ahead. No same-day booking.
Do I need a Chinese phone?

What can’t I bring?
