Why skip WeChat
Universal Beijing sells dated, real-name tickets. Overseas guests enter with a passport that matches the booking.
Official channels (app, Alipay/WeChat mini-programs, Fliggy/JD stores) often expect Alipay or WeChat Pay, and travellers report the app may want a Chinese mobile number. That is why most foreign visitors use Trip.com or Klook instead.
Official English pages (checked 8 Oct 2026) list Trip.com Group and Klook among authorised partners and show dated one-day tickets from about CNY 350 (calendar pricing).
Steps
- Open Universal Studios Beijing on Trip.com (or Klook) and pick a dated 1-day / 1.5-day / 2-day ticket.
- Enter each guest’s name and passport number exactly as printed.
- Pay with a foreign card; save the confirmation / QR email.
- Metro Line 7 or Batong Line to Universal Resort station; show the same physical passport at the gate (photo check).

Pitfalls
- Buying from a chat-app seller not on the resort’s partner list.
- A one-digit passport typo — fix it with the seller or Guest Services before you queue.
- Assuming Universal Express includes park admission (it does not).
- Trying to register the official app only with a foreign number when you already have Trip.com tickets — unnecessary for entry.

FAQ
Do I need WeChat to enter the park?
No. Entry is passport + valid dated ticket. WeChat is optional for maps and waits inside the park.
Can I buy same-day tickets without WeChat?
Dated tickets can still be available on partner sites the same day when capacity remains, but busy dates sell out or price up. Do not rely on same-day — book before you travel.
Is Trip.com official?
The resort’s English “sales channels and travel trade partners” list includes TRIP.COM GROUP and KLOOK. Prefer those over unnamed resellers.
Does Express include admission?
No. Universal Express is a separate dated add-on tied to your ID. You still need a park ticket.
