Universal Beijing Resort tickets for foreigners

Universal Studios Beijing uses dated, real-name tickets: one passport, one ticket per date, and the same physical passport at the gate. Buy from the resort’s official channels or a partner on its official list — for most foreign visitors that means Trip.com or Klook. Checked against the resort’s English pages on 8 Oct 2026.

Booking steps (any channel)

  1. Choose your date first. Prices follow a date calendar — the official page shows dated one-day tickets “from CNY 350”, and weekends and holidays cost more.
  2. Pick the product: 1-Day Dated, 1.5-Day Dated or 2-Day ticket, or a ticket + Express package. Dated tickets need no separate park reservation. Annual passes and non-dated tickets do — you book those in the app or mini-program.
  3. Choose each person’s category: child tickets are for ages 3–11 and senior tickets for 65+, both about 25% off. Ages are checked against the passport.
  4. Enter each guest’s name and passport number exactly as printed. One ID can hold only one ticket per date.
  5. Pay and save the confirmation. Your passport is your ticket — at the gate it is checked with photo validation, and you can re-enter the same day.

Visit Beijing FAQ: foreign visitors can buy via the app, the Fliggy flagship store or the contact centre, with passport details. Checked 8 Oct 2026. Prices and opening hours change by date — confirm on the calendar for your day.

Pitfalls: Buying from a seller that isn’t on the resort’s partner list. A one-digit passport typo — fix it with the seller or at Guest Services before you queue. Missing the free-refund cutoff 2 days before. Assuming Express includes entry. Arriving with a large wheeled bag. Saving Universal for a Chinese public holiday without Express.

FAQ

Can foreigners buy Universal Studios Beijing tickets?

Yes. Passport details are required for booking. The resort sells through its official app, Alipay and WeChat mini-programs, flagship stores and contact centre, and lists Trip.com Group and Klook among its official travel trade partners.

Do I need my passport at the gate?

Yes. Overseas guests must show their physical passport — the one entered on the ticket. Entry also uses photo validation; a screenshot of the passport is not enough.

Can I buy tickets at the gate?

Don’t plan on it. Buy online before you go. Dated tickets are tied to one date, and busy dates can be expensive or limited.

Can I cancel or change the date?

Under the resort’s published policy, a dated ticket is refundable free until 00:00 two days before the visit, then with a CNY 80 fee until 23:59 the day before, then not at all. One date change to an equal-value ticket is allowed before the same 2-day cutoff. Partner products can have their own terms — read them at checkout.

Does Universal Express include park admission?

No. Express is a separate, dated product tied to your ID. It gives one express-lane entry per participating ride (Single, Set 3, Set 5 or the full Universal Express). You still need a park ticket.
