    Choose Ping'an or Jinkeng (Dazhai)

    Ping'an is closer and easier to reach; Jinkeng/Dazhai is bigger and has the cable car. The areas are not linked inside the park.

    Join a day tour or take a bus towards Longsheng/Heping; allow 2–2.5 hours each way.

Key pitfalls

  • The terraces are split into areas that are not connected inside the park — Ping'an and Jinkeng (Dazhai) are separate trips. Pick one for a day visit.
  • Only Jinkeng/Dazhai has a cable car; Ping'an viewpoints are reached on foot.
  • Sources disagree on how long the ticket is valid (one day vs three days). Ask at the ticket office if you plan to stay overnight.
