    Go late afternoon, dressed for the cold

    Go in the late afternoon to see it in daylight and then lit up. Bring your passport.

  • It is a different site from the Sun Island Snow Sculpture Expo, which has its own ticket.
  • Don’t count on free entry for over-65s with a foreign passport: the free-pass reservation form asks for a Chinese ID number. Budget for the CNY 328 ticket.
