Step-by-step booking guide

    Go to the Baofeng Lake gate

    It is about 2 km south of Wulingyuan town — a short taxi ride.

    Buy the bundle at the window

    Show your passport and buy the CNY 110 ticket (admission, boat and return shuttle).

    Ride the shuttle to the lake

    The shuttle runs between the gate and the pier; keep your ticket for the return leg.

    Take the boat loop

    The roofed boats circle the lake in about 20–30 minutes. Add a walk to the waterfall for a fuller visit.

  • Not covered by the Zhangjiajie National Forest Park pass.
  • The boat loop is only about 20–30 minutes; boat commentary is in Chinese.
  • Tour groups crowd the boats around 09:00–10:00 — early afternoon is calmer.
