    Decide: WeChat booking or buy on the day

    There's no web booking. If you use WeChat, follow the Official Account “Temple of Heaven” and book 1–7 days ahead. Otherwise just go — same-day tickets are sold while the park has capacity.

    On the day without a booking

    Visit Beijing: if the park hasn't reached capacity, scan the QR code at the entrance to buy, or ask at a Comprehensive Service Counter to order for you. Bring your passport.

    Choose admission or the combo ticket

    Passport admission is CNY 20 (concession CNY 10). The combo (CNY 34 in high season) adds the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvest, Echo Wall and Circular Mound Altar — most visitors want it.

    Enter with your e-ticket and passport

    Show the e-ticket QR code and the same passport you booked with. E-tickets are only valid on the booked date.

    Check the hours, especially on Mondays

    The park is open 06:00–22:00 (last entry 21:00). The paid inner sights are open 08:00–18:00 Tuesday to Sunday and close on Mondays except statutory holidays.

Key pitfalls

  • Combo ticket needed for Hall of Prayer / Echo Wall / Circular Mound — admission-only skips those.
  • Inner sights closed Mondays (except statutory holidays) while the park grounds stay open.
  • The official parks authority has not authorized Klook, Viator or similar sellers — buy on site or in 畅游公园 for guaranteed validity.

Do I need to book the Temple of Heaven in advance?

No. If the park isn't full, you can buy on the day by scanning the QR code at the entrance or at a service counter. Booking 1–7 days ahead on the WeChat Official Account “Temple of Heaven” is optional.
