Step-by-step booking guide

    Choose walk, boat or both

    The walking ticket (CNY 80) takes you down the cliff path to the Buddha's feet. The boat (CNY 70) gives the full-body view from the river. They are separate tickets.

    Open the Leshan Giant Buddha page on Trip.com (our button above), choose your date and enter your passport details. Book ahead for weekends and holidays.

    Leave Chengdu early

    High-speed train to Leshan (about 1 hour), then a local bus or taxi to the scenic area.

  4. 4

    Arrive at opening

    Queues on the steep cliff path build quickly on busy days. Peak-season hours are 07:30–18:30 (last entry 17:30); from 8 Oct it's 08:00–17:30.

  5. 5

    Bring your passport

    It's checked against your booking at the gate.

  • Boat view vs cliff stairs are different experiences — boat tickets sell out separately.
  • Stairs can close in rain/for maintenance — check day-of notices.
  • Day trip from Chengdu needs early start (HSR/bus).
