Lingyin Temple tickets for foreigners

Free entry since 1 Dec 2025 does not mean walk-in. Book the “Hangzhou Lingyin Feilai Peak” mini-program in Alipay (or WeChat) with your passport. Official English notices; verified 6 Oct 2026.

Booking steps

  1. Set up Alipay (or WeChat) with passport verification first.
  2. Open the mini-program Hangzhou Lingyin Feilai Peak inside Alipay (search that name). WeChat has the same mini-program.
  3. Book at least 1 day ahead. Each date opens at 08:00 Beijing time, 7 days before. Quotas: about 35,000 weekdays / 50,000 weekends / 65,000 holidays.
  4. Choose morning (07:30–12:00, latest entry 13:00) or afternoon (12:00–17:00, earliest entry 11:00).
  5. Enter passport details (non-mainland OK). Up to 5 visitors per mobile number per slot; children under 14 booked by an adult.
  6. On the day: bring the same passport; each ID enters/exits once.

Pitfalls: Showing up without a reservation after Feb 2026; missing the 08:00 / 7-day release; booking afternoon then arriving at 08:00; assuming a Trip.com “Lingyin ticket” replaces the free official reservation.

Is Lingyin free?

Entry to the Feilai Peak scenic area including Lingyin Temple has been free since 1 Dec 2025, but a real-name timed reservation is mandatory.

How do foreigners book?

Use the Hangzhou Lingyin Feilai Peak mini-program in Alipay or WeChat with passport details. There is no website booking form.

When do slots open?

08:00 Beijing time on the 7th day before the visit. Book at least 1 day ahead — no same-day online booking.

What if the date is full?

On-site registration was cancelled from 1 Feb 2026. Join the online waitlist in the same mini-program by 20:00 the day before.
