Entry to the Feilai Peak scenic area (including Lingyin Temple) has been free since 1 Dec 2025, but a real-name, timed reservation is mandatory. The temple's English notice says to book in the “Hangzhou Lingyin Feilai Peak” mini-program; passports are accepted. There's no web booking.

Open the “Hangzhou Lingyin Feilai Peak” mini-program in Alipay
Search for it inside Alipay. Alipay works with foreign cards and is often easier for visitors; the reservation itself is free. There's no booking link on the temple's English website.

Each date opens at 08:00 Beijing time 7 days before. Same-day reservations aren't accepted online. Use the release-time calculator above to convert to your time zone.

Non-mainland visitors can reserve with a passport. One ID number per person; up to 5 visitors per mobile number per slot; children under 14 booked by an accompanying adult (max 3).

Bring the same passport you booked with. Each ID can enter and exit only once per day.
Key pitfalls
- Free doesn't mean walk-in: you need a timed reservation in the Alipay or WeChat mini-program. There's no website booking.
- No same-day online booking. Book at least 1 day ahead; each date opens at 08:00 Beijing time 7 days before.
- Morning slot: latest entry 13:00. Afternoon slot: earliest entry 11:00. Each ID can enter and exit only once a day.
- Up to 5 visitors per mobile number per slot. Children under 14 must be booked by an adult (max 3 per adult).
- No walk-in fallback: on-site registration was cancelled from 1 Feb 2026. If your date is full, use the online waitlist by 20:00 the day before.
