Book in the official 西安城墙景区 WeChat mini-program (adult CNY 54, half price CNY 27; up to 7 days ahead). Since 1 Jul 2026 the gates check ID cards or faces instead of QR codes, so foreign passport holders take the passport they booked with to a gate ticket window and swap the booking for a paper entry voucher; the windows also sell tickets to foreign visitors and cash payers (scenic-area notice, 1 Jul 2026). Trip.com sells English tickets too, as a fallback.

    Open the 西安城墙景区 mini-program

    In WeChat, search 西安城墙景区 (Xi'an City Wall Scenic Area) and open the official mini-program.

    Choose your date

    Up to 7 days ahead. Adult tickets are CNY 54 (CNY 27 half price) and valid only on the date you choose.

    Enter passport details and pay

    Use your name and number exactly as they appear in your passport.

    Swap the booking for a paper voucher

    Since 1 Jul 2026 entry is by ID-card or face scan, not QR code. Foreign visitors take the passport they booked with to a gate ticket window and get a paper entry voucher.
