Lama Temple tickets for foreigners

Official online booking is the WeChat account <strong>雍和宫游客信众服务</strong> (passport full-price exists but the UX is Chinese-only and travellers often fail the ID step). The reliable foreigner path is the <strong>south-gate ticket centre</strong> with your passport — full price <strong>CNY 25</strong>, half <strong>CNY 12</strong> with proof at the window only.

Booking steps

  1. Try WeChat account 雍和宫游客信众服务 if you already use WeChat — select passport / full-price if the UI allows.
  2. If the passport step fails (common): go to the south-gate ticket centre with your passport and buy on site.
  3. Arrive near opening on weekends and lunar 1st/15th — morning sell-outs happen.
  4. Dress respectfully; this is an active Tibetan Buddhist temple in Beijing.

Unlike central parks that are simple gate purchases, Yonghe’s online channel is WeChat-first. The good news: the physical window remains a confirmed foreigner path with passport — you are not stuck if mini-program booking fails.
